These are some motion graphic/visual effect ideas I came up with for a mock/fan-made opening title sequence for a movie version of a certain popular video game. Some were used in the final edit, some were not. :) You can see the final version below. Made in After Effects with Particular, Photoshop and Premiere.
My initial ideas. This game is basically about spores that infect people and turn them into zombies, so I played with this theme visually. I found a tutorial online that got me up and running with Particular, which was fantastic.
The final opening titles sequence. The edit was done by Trevor Betts, with some footage contributed by Devon Edwards. Other stock footage obtained for non-commercial use. We decided to go with a more subdued approach, so the main graphic elements remaining are my text.

Treasure Dogs
Selected and screened at The Roseville Animation Festival (2012) and the Los Angeles International Underground Film Festival (2012)! This is a short animation made by myself and two other students at DePaul University. We were going for a "paper cutout" look for the style, but it was actually made in Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects and edited in Premiere. Our team was so small, we all had a hand in pretty much everything at one point or another, but we gave ourselves a little credit for the main tasks. Hope you enjoy it!
